The Nordic Working Group for Global Climate Negotiations (NOAK) has the overarching goal of contributing to the adoption of a global climate agreement with binding and ambitious goals.
The Nordic countries have been at the forefront of pushing mitigation on the global climate change agenda. At the same time, adaptation is demanded by developing countries and the Nordic countries have responded to that call by actively promoting climate proofing, climate resilience and specific adaptation projects as part of their overall climate finance portfolio.
The Nordic Working Group for Global Climate Negotiations (NOAK) is now inviting tenders for a scoping study to look at different ways to improve adaptation and mitigation synergies in climate change financing. The results of the scoping study can be used to evaluate, whether it would be interesting to launch further work in this area.
NOAK, which is a Nordic working group under the Nordic Council of Ministers (NCM) is responsible for the project. The scoping study project is funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers.
The deadline for the tenders is the 16th of August 2012.
