Objectives
The Nordic climate Facility (NCF) aims at building partnerships between the Nordic countries and NDF’s partner countries on climate change adaptation and mitigation.
NCF launches a call for proposals once a year for innovative ideas within specific themes relating to climate change, and the best proposals may receive grant financing amounting to between EUR 250,000 and EUR 500,000, or in exceptional cases, between EUR 150,000 and EUR 250,000. Applications are submitted in two phases: the best concepts presented during the Idea Phase are invited to develop a full proposal during the Design Phase. NDF implements the project in co-operation with NEFCO.
Financing
NDF provides EUR 6.0 million per year in 2010, 2011 and 2012 to cover three calls for proposals. Total cost of the project will be EUR 18.0 million. ¨
