rAREH's mission is to increase the renewable energy supply in Sub-Saharan Africa with initial focus on East Africa at a reasonable price and in a responsible way, while generating attractive, long-term, stable cash flow across a diversified portfolio of renewable energy plants.

The AFRI-RES initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of African institutions (including national governments, river basin organisations, regional economic communities, power pools, and others) and private sector to plan, design, and implement investments in selected sectors, so as to increase their resilience to climate change.
The Lake Victoria Basin Resource Efficiency and Cleaner Production project aims at catalysing private sector investment in cleaner and more efficient industrial production and supply chains throughout the Lake Victoria watershed basin.
The project aims to provide access to affordable and clean burning energy efficient cook stoves to households in four East African countries, including the development of a Clean Development Mechanism Programme of Activities.
The overall objective of the Green Guarantee Facility is to promote green growth and climate resilient development in African economies by catalyzing bank lending to SMEs for projects and investments linked to climate change adaptation and mitigation.

The strong inter-state linkages between coastal ecosystems along the West African shoreline call for a coordinated and integrated approach to climate change adaptation, development planning and resource management in the littoral zone, as coastal areas continue to attract major economic and demographic growth. NDF’s activities contribute to the collective response needed to address the above-mentioned challenges and threats.
The objective is to develop an approach for World Bank’s engagement on climate change and health that corresponds with the Bank’s comparative advantage.
